Hi, I'm here after Summer Showdown. For June Joust model, I was not fully satisfied with my model and tried to update it as much as I could.
There are some changes within the model. The biggest problem of last model was that it did not fully differentiate
the momentum of players other than Fuel or Shanghai. So I added 'POTM' variable to fully distinguish them.
Another update is that there is now only one prediction model (was two). But to make things interesting, I added 'Impact Excluded Model' where 'Tournament winner and POTM premium' is NOT considered. It is NOT to predict the role stars but to find out who is still doing great behind the spotlight.
Analysis
Seems like Atlanta actually reigns the West DPS War as expected. Atlanta and Dallas players are handicapped severely in the latter model with relatively tough schedule on Hawaii. But Atalanta DPS still managed to hold the reign while Doha especially didn't. I was a big fan of EM and have been skeptical about him since back then. He is a great team player but what else?
And Edison is really underrated since 2020 I guess. He looks like an upgraded Decay these days and have got zero POTM this year sadly (Pelican is a beast tho).
Sparkle (not SparkR) still seems to be great and have a high probability of being Role Star 2 times in a row if he keeps his way until Countdown Cup. Outlaws and Gladiators looks quite solid up to now and would Glister revive their team with ANS?
